Booked directly through Marriott Status: Titanium Honestly, I have some mixed feelings about this hotel. We booked the hotel in late December for a mid February stay and we weren’t notified about the construction until 2/13 (a week before our stay). While the options they offered were honestly generous, notifying us relatively last minute meant our choices were to take one of their offers or to pay much more for a different hotel (prices increased since when we booked. The breakfast up charge for hot items seemed excessive - $17/person per day for what was offered over the continental option (basically fruits and pastries). However, the room was nice and all of the staff we encountered were friendly. At the end of the day, we did enjoy our stay at this hotel, but just wish the communication about the construction was a bit more proactive, and the breakfast up charge is more reasonable.

••We recently stayed at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa for a week, and it was a solid choice overall. Before we even arrived, I noticed in the Marriott app that we’d gotten a complimentary room upgrade, which was a nice surprise. The location is fantastic—right across the street from Waikiki Beach, making it super convenient for beach days. The hotel has two ABC Stores, two Starbucks, and a good restaurant onsite. ••We met some friendly people while relaxing in the hot tub and enjoyed drinks at the pool bar. The fitness center had decent equipment for a quick workout. On our second day, we got a call inviting us to a 90-minute Marriott timeshare presentation—we went and received a free sunset cruise excursion that we took later in the week, which was a cool bonus. There’s also an Enterprise car rental location right onsite, so we rented a car for a day to explore the island. ••The beds were comfortable, the bathroom spacious with good water pressure in the shower, and rooms come with a fridge and safe. We called the front desk for a microwave to heat up leftovers, and they brought one up quickly. After checkout, they held our bags since we had a late flight, and we were able to use the lounge and showers to freshen up after hitting the beach one last time—really appreciated that. ••One heads-up: There’s construction on the balconies in one of the towers, so access might be limited. The website does mention this when booking, so check that. All in all, we’d recommend this spot! ••The pics attached are views from our balcony and a drink from the pool bar.

Great location and staff very friendly. Georgette at the Kuhio restaurant was so friendly and greeted us everyday with a warm welcome. Great way to start the day! The hotel has been updated and great amenities; gym, pool deck and food options. Hotel is directly on Waikiki beach and plenty of options. Great stay and room clean and spacious! We have been HNL many times and this hotel is excellent!

I want to give a special shout out to Ian, one of the hotel managers. The group we were traveling with two weeks ago put us in a room that didn’t have enough beds, and I was upset after being awake for 24hrs and not eating anything since the day prior. Ian listened to me and was able to put us in a different room that night. The new room was above and beyond what I expected. The room we were placed in made me and my girls trip so much better! It had the most amazing view, and I will never forget this trip, hotel, and Ian’s ability to make a change to accommodate us. Thank you Ian- you are our hero on this trip! I loved the hotel and beach. Everything about our stay was phenomenal.

Mahina the receptionist helped my boyfriend at 6AM to store his golf clubs and then she helped us book a luau at 6PM. Girl is working so hard!!! She was extremely profressional, kind, and accomodating towards us in both instances. This is the level of service I expect from a luxury resort. Thank you Mahina! (she did not ask me to write this, I was just very grateful, impressed, and inspired by her work ethic). The attached pic is our view from our room! Stunning.

We had an amazing stay last week (the end of Feb 2026). Our room had a fantastic view of Diamond Head. The king room we had is a nice size. The bed was comfortable. I did ask for non feather pillows and they were delivered in less than 5 minutes! We enjoyed auntie Riza's class at the cultural center in the hotel, and the painting activities with Coco and (I've forgotten the other ladies name). All of the desk staff was professional and helpful. Housekeeping on the 24th floor was awesome! We didn't make it to the pool because the beach was so close. Checking out beach chairs and boogie boards was simple, though the staff there seemed a bit bored even though they were busy every time we walked by. The Starbucks in the Paoakalani tower has the best staff of almost any Starbucks I've ever been in. They are efficient and cheerful and genuinely seem to enjoy working together. Unfortunately they are tucked in a back corner staring at a temporary construction wall right now but it didn't seem to affect them. Really nice to have two ABC stores in the hotel (yes, I spent too much $$ there) and the Honolulu cookie co on the corner was super convenient as well. The Starbucks you can access in the other tower/from the street isn't as friendly. The guest use microwaves on the 2nd floor are a nice touch since we didn't want to rent a microwave for $10/day but we did want the option of heating up leftovers. Worked perfectly. Since it was our first visit to Waikiki we opted not to rent a car and walked everywhere. It was perfect. If you are around on the weekend walk over to see "Art on the Zoo Fence" and get some local art and chat with the artists. They are very talented! There is some street noise as others have mentioned, but it wasn't too bad. Definitely recommend this property and I would love to stay there on our next trip to Waikiki.

The level of service is what I would consider to be top tier. From the moment we arrived, we felt felt very welcome. Keith at the front desk was extremely helpful with getting us checked in to our multiple rooms. The Bellman, Buster, went above and beyond by loading our large bags onto a luggage cart and helping us to our room while giving us a very knowledgeable rundown of the hotels offerings and accomidations. On our first pool Day, we booked a cabana for the day and the pool staff helped us get the perfect spot for our family. I wasn't sure how to get food and drinks at first and when I went to ask, Ryan at the Queensbreak restaurant, immediately stepped up and offered to serve us food and drinks. He was cery attentive, coming by regularly to ensure we had everything we need. It may not be as luxurious as the Ritz Carlton or JW, but the level of customer service is on par with any luxury resort that we have been to. It is a great place to stay.

SO amazing! We were there for the luau. What a fun and educational experience! These dancers and musicuans were so great. The host was knowledgeable and fun. Our main server was professional and very nice. A nearby family was pretty rude to her but she responded with grace and professionalism that I would've not been able to maintain. I think her name is Karen...she's "mature," experienced and so competent.
